more news from the blog

  1. Bought the voigtlander 58mm last month. Beautiful just beautiful. Getting the Zeiss next. As i take most of my shots indoors hotel rooms etc I just think the 85mm is a tad better focal length for me. if i were shooting outdoors more I would probably go for the Nikkor and that super creamy bokeh.

  2. hey guys! i started photography recently and i really need you opinions. i own a 80D, and i have my eyes on the sigma 24mm f1.4, 18-35mm f1.8 and 35mm 1.4 lenses. they are quite similar in price and i couldn't make up my mind which one to buy. any opinions?

  3. Hi Ken. I am going to do an environmental portrait, what would you advise to use between 24-85mm 3.5-4.5 , 50mm 1.8 ? I need to include a bit of surroundings and don't want to be too far away from subject. On FX sensor D610. I also have Tamron 70-300mm VC, but was planning not to use it for not to be too far.
    Thanks man.

  4. Are we ever going to see what sort of Photography you do with so many multiple copies of lenses and cameras….? Share your website…. Having best lenses and cameras doesn't make us complete photographer, using'em certainly will…

  5. The reason why T N (male part of the husband and wife team ) won't change over from Canon to Nikon is that the close distance focusing on the 70-200 Nikon is only 135 mm. This he says would not be good for his "portrait work ". The guys doing serious portrait work with this monster of a zoom lens and he's selling books on photography . I wonder if he has ever heard of Zeiss or Voigtlander never heard him mention then but he does mention Sigma quite a lot, checkout his video you will have a laugh.
Thats great glass Ken thanks for sharing it with us, a bit too rich for me as I don't do that many portraits but did bag a nice 105 Ai 2.5 off eBay for around $180 which is cheap here in the Uk

  6. Ken it's been a long time man : , (
Life has been really hard and had kept me from been active on here watching your awesome videos, but I'm slowly getting back here xD
While I was gone I bought a 35mm 1.8G and I've had a really fun time with it getting amazing results even in low light with my D3300. However now that I entered the primes world I wanna get another fast wide angle lens. Is there any cool in the range of 12-18mm you recommend me with an aperture of 1.4 – 1.8 and that is ultra sharp =)?
Btw how have you been, what have I missed =D?
How is the site going =O?

  7. I have a non DC 105mm F 2.5 from the 5 elements in four groups period (1973). Been using it adapted to a canon 5D11 with excellent results-thinking of getting a Nikon body for it. I am thinking a D700 should do the trick, since the auto diaphragm works with it, but not sure……

  8. Hi Angry photographer I got the Nikor 105 mm 3.5 and Nikon 24-85 mm3.5/4.5. I have been enjoy every bit of them from your recommendation . I am interested in taking macro photography and was wondering what are your thoughts on Sb 21 speed light. There isn't much information on it. Some of your expertise please.
