more news from the blog

  1. Sorry this is a beginners question – please don't shoot me down in flames! – but I don't understand (at 13mins 30secs or so) how the camera is 'telling you' that x distance to y distance will be in focus' – can you please explain a bit more

  2. Another motivational video! Mike I wish you'd just film every outing, like daily. I miss your work during the gaps. I'd like to buy that property too to let's do It?

  3. Another great video Mike. As I get older I find the expression 'I'm waiting for the light' a wonderful excuse to sit down and get my breath back on those steep ( and now not so steep) climbs to the top of things like hills, stairs – anything that requires effort really.

Still enjoying my XT-1 – found growing my nails a little bit longer a great help with the dials!

  4. Thank you for taking the time to produce these videos! I'm new to photography and of all the YouTubers out there producing photography videos , yours have been the most entertaining and informative of all! You have a great talent for teaching and I appreciate the efforts you've made to share your knowledge!

  5. Just got out of bed and saw a video that I've never seen from Mike..breakfast can wait..another great one Mr Browne ! The best and most charismatic teacher on the internet does it again

  6. Thanks Mike for this, and for that matter all your videos. Informative and personable. For me, what takes my photography up another gear, is the inspiration I get from travel (love Asia for this in particular) and the time to slow down and observe.
Do you use any Fuji primes at all? I especially like the smaller 23/35 f2 lenses. My 18-55 doesn't get out much but yes, its a superb lens.

  7. Mike, Great location. Wondering for the "Pig-Volcano" composition why you didn't try a bracketed exposure for PS blending / HDR Blending. Thoughts? I use the X-Pro2 and with the new firmware upgrade not sure I need to take on the XT-2 (yet). I've been learning from your videos for the last 3 years. Thank you. I'm headed from India, now in China (home) and next month to Birmingham so if you have any photowalks in the UK that would be sweet. Xiexie Stuart

  8. Thank you so much for posting!!!!! This video was exactly what I was hoping for!!!!!!!!!!!  Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Mike, another job well done with lots of patience. I can see what you're talking about having do the shot without anyone else to distract you from a great shot. Thanks

  10. Hi Mike. Great video. Question as you were in the building the light inside would have been lower than the light outside. So I would assume you used post processing to correct the inside to the outside.

  11. Nice one Mike, it as worth waiting for that wonderful light buddy.
Tell me, would a panorama shot have worked Inside there?
Anyway, as usual, a great video and photos. Thank you.
